Plans for 2018

Happy new year! Best wishes to you all. Here are my resolutions for 2018. What are yours?

When it comes to the blog, my resolution for 2018 is to write more. Now that I’m settled in Marseille and have some free time, I’ll try to publish at least one article a week. The subjects will stay the same: everything related to science, technology and programming. Yet I would like to try something different from time to time: reviewing books, making bread or sharing my tabletop games’ sessions.

Anyway, here’s what you can expect for the upcoming weeks:

  • Another article on statistics
  • Continue the todo app series
  • Elm
  • Python’s meta classes
  • Pytest

  • Crystal and Nim, two fairly new but promising languages
  • NLTK, a Python library for natural language
  • GraphQL syntax for API queries
  • Elixir, a functionnal language using Erlang’s VM
  • Some machine learning with Kaggle competitions or OpenAI’s gym
  • Ludum Dare and other game jams

  • Read more books, fiction or not
  • Write fictions
  • Hone my Spanish
  • Make different trips in Europe
  • Learn new cooking recipes
